Mile 991 to 1006

To be honest, today was very uneventful. For the first time in 4 days, we didn’t hit any obstacle that could have killed us, which was perfectly ok by me. In fact, more days like today would be welcome.

We started hiking with GoPro, who got his name because he lost his GoPro and walked back on the trail asking everyone if they had seen his GoPro. We were also joined by Steale.

The big objective of the day was Dororthy Lake Pass and we crossed it easily. It was still covered in snow, but the approach was through some flat meadows that were starting to melt out, which made it easier. We stopped on the top for lunch and continued down. Eventually, the trail cleared up near the end of the day and we found a nice campsite in a meadow for all of us and made a fire.

We also passed 1,000 miles today, which felt great. It feels good to be in the quadruple digits. Only 1,650 more miles to go.
